They even come with a free second mortgage application form, mind you some of their cheaper models come with organ donation forms for those that can't afford the top of the range 😂
No prices? Even they're embarrassed to show them 😂

As Bentley is nearby it’s resulted in a few one man bands setting up locally. Before lockdown I was planning to ask this guy for a quote www.gdkveneering.co.uk/Looks like he does good work and I reckon a plinth would be a doddle. Plus I could choose whatever..! However.. as Fiona’s treatment is not going to finish till Oct, we will be lockdown till then (whatever Boris says!)

Been in touch with the owner of the SP10 pictured. Nice guy from Milan called Eugenio His plinth is formed by some alternate layers of wood-multilayer and lead, completed by a black plexyglass plate on the upper side.

I was interested too. Particularly as they seem to work on the same principle as the Townsend Seismic pods in reducing low frequency vibration. Eugenio said ‘ The owner told me that spring has been setted to work at a resonance frequency of 3hz’. He got the deck from a neighbor who had the plinth made in Milan to a design known as the Cotter Plinth. More info available on Soundfountain.

Cheers Oli. Still uncertain if it’s worth the bother of changing the appearance of the panzerholtz plinth. Mine is identical to yours but sits in a dark corner on top of a black Mana stand. The Tenuto stands out nicely in contrast to the Matt black and Metal colour of the arm. However I am very curious as to whether adding an element of suspension to it all might improve things. If I could demo the Townsend seismic pods under it then it might scratch that itch, but I’m not investing proper dosh into it.

The plinth is lovely but blue feet, surely a splash of paint on them.

As someone else pointed out recently (apologies.. memory shot), but there is an issue of weight distribution. Surely the ‘left side’ of the whole deck is going to be heavier than the right as having a greater proportion of the motor on it. Wouldn’t you need stronger springs/support on this side? Or am I talking bollocks again?

No I think you're right. He may have accounted for that somehow though.

The plinth is lovely but blue feet, surely a splash of paint on them. Hello Antonio, at a first sight I thought the same, but the blue color of the springs is a tribute to the original Cotter plinth, and so I decided to keep it.
