No worries there , seem to have 4 stages laying around here for some reason. think I'll put some of my old MMs back on for fun and see how much I've progrrssed the sound. I was using a world audio phono 2 which was excellent. I really do think this is on par or possible slightly better, maybe a little brighter. I’ve lowered the dial on my ribbon tweeters slightly. Be interesting seeing what different caps can do too. I’ll leave it for a while though. Let everything settle in. I’ve started something here now haven’t I Don't forget, thats a MK1 We are now on the MK3! A fair amount of changes since this version. BTW, swap those 2.2uf output caps when you have a few quid spare. I will give you a link to what i use now.

I could be interested in a MK3 board a bit later on when I’ve had a play with this 1.

Here you go: uk.rs-online.com/mobile/p/polypropylene-film-capacitors/6842248/The ones in your Bigbottle phonostage do a good job TBF but I noticed a very worthwhile change when I swapped them out for a set of Clarity Caps. I've since moved away from those in favour of those because: A) They are cheaper B) They are easily as good, if not better. They also measure superbly. I've become a bit of a fanboy for Vishay bits in recent times but they make really good stuff and dont go bezerk with the prices. As for the MK3, enjoy what you have for a while. The MK3 PCB will be permanently available in the next few weeks or whenever Covid-19 slopes off.

I'd love to see the Logo burned into the front. Now that would be a great way of finishing it off! Great work and yes, I was right. You are a woodwork type and you do make it look good. Well done Oh, I'm gonna steal your picks for my Bigbottle Facebook page, if that's ok?

They belong to the manufacturer, and I have custody of them in the ”European Toy Box”.

I would but I don’t do Facebook. I’m signed up but never browse it. I find it very frustrating finding out what people are having for tea. Or where there having a beer. I’m more an instagram man.

I only follow things I’m interested in people I want to follow. You don’t get adverts every 10 seconds. You don’t get the things you’ve looked At on Ebay pop up stating your family like this. I just feel Facebook is full of crap you just flick through. You don’t get none of this on Instagram. Maybe it’s just me, I just don’t get on with it.

The Vishay caps arrived today so I swapped them out straight away. 2176D770-93B7-4535-8898-316FEEC45D5A by Nathan Rose, on Flickr Not had time to listen yet but I will do tomorrow. The case is now completely dry so I finished off screwing it all together. I really enjoyed making this and I look forward to building another project. Thanks to everyone for the help given. I’m quite painful sometimes I know but I am a complete novice at this.

Hi Nathan What valves are you using? I ask as before mine wen down I replaced the Mullard PC88s with some NOS Teslas at very reasonable cost and they certainly improved it in my eyes. You can get a pair here for about £17. Ebay pc88s
Cheers
