Ok. As promised, here’s my first attempt at DIY. I’m using American black walnut for the sides and so it will match my furniture colour. It’s a nice looking timber when finished and I’ve used it on a few occasions. The mesh top is going to be sprayed satin black along with the bottom and rear. I just need to drill the holes for the PCB then I’ll start sanding down and priming. My a Transformer arrived last week along with all the parts needed for the DC blocker. I’m just waiting on the DC blocker PCB to arrive. Anyway, this is where I’m up to, I’m hoping the weekend I’ll get a lot done and get some power to the board. I’ll keep you informed if this works

Thanks Oli I re-plinthed a Heybrook TT2 years ago in the same timber and loved how the grain stood out. I've used it on a few projects now. Finished TT2 by Nathan Rose, on Flickr

Try and mount your traffo and DC blocker away from the input end of the board.

Well I spent the afternoon wiring it all up and managed to get power to the board and had a quick sound check. I only have output to the right channel. I’ll have a look tomorrow now as it’s getting late. 5F28042C-3EF9-4D99-A2E5-A7389F5F5422 by Nathan Rose, on Flickr

Hi Nathan
Bit difficult to see from the photo, as far as I know there are a couple of ways to do it as Oliver and I have done - piggy backing the load sockets off the l and R inputs and grounds or as it looks like you have done - a separate connection from the load socket to the board. If done right then shouldn't make a difference between the 2.

I did look at the left jfet. It’s not looking at clean as the right side. I’m hoping that could be my problem. I’ll try re_soldering tomorrow. thanks for the reply mate.

None of them look pretty. I actually redis those, but this pic was to see how bad they really were hahaha I usually keep about 50 of them as I drop them and everything. Just got to try and keep the heat to a minimum. These were on the last PCB I built. They work lol Looks a lot better than mine!
