I've got the PC-Tripple C connect upto some WBT silver spades in the valve system. At the moment I've got the stuff connected up in the valve system which will be it's new home. Van Damme has been consigned to the garage or when I can get around to it, selling it off. Lots more detail and weirdly less hum in the Tannoys, WTF? So, I can honestly say noise floor has been lowered, the Tannoys are now nearly silent apart from a very small amount of transformer hum. May I ask, which cable do you have?

So, I can honestly say noise floor has been lowered, the Tannoys are now nearly silent apart from a very small amount of transformer hum. There is Tourmaline in the jacket of the Acoustic Revive that I use, which is usually the main ingredient in grounding boxes. Apparently they use it to give more protection from signal pollutant....or words to that effect. Not sure if the SAEC stuff has that, but it could be something to do with better shielding? I've never liked Van-Damme. I've tried everything of theirs but once I tried OCC copper, anything less just didn't cut it. The CCC stuff took my system on again. Glad this is going the same sort of way in your system. From the SAEC website: SPC-850 High-end speaker cable with PC-Triple C conductor A sibling model has appeared in the SPC-650, which has been well received since its release. PC-Triple C has achieved excellent conduction performance by reducing the grain boundaries that hinder signal transmission as much as possible and making the crystals continuous in the longitudinal direction by using our unique continuous forging and stretching technology. By reducing the conductor resistance, the sound is transmitted from low to high frequencies without stress, and clear and wide range characteristics with even better S / N are realized. In order to maximize the characteristics of PC-Triple C, polyethylene containing a vibration damping material with a small relative permittivity and vibration countermeasures is used for the insulating material and sheath. It is a flagship model of Saek Commerce speaker cable that 3.4Sq and thick conductor convey information thoroughly. Please enjoy the overwhelming acoustic performance and good S / N of PC-Triple C.

Yes I went with the 850, I'll post a picture up later. I managed to get another couple of hours with it last night. It's good stuff. Forget a burn in period, this stuff sounds good from the get-go.

Rexblog Pt.. ?Erm, Ive forgotten.. lets say V
The SEAS Tripple C cable has been a very nice improvement to the valve system. My Van Damme Blue has been relegated to the garage spares box. I have a problem with my 301 and 401 in that they are custom mounted into their individual plinths, very hard to remove, and this is my problem. I'd like to try and collar mounting for the individual bearings, it's a copper jobbie from Malaysia @ £21 i'm not worried if it dosen't work, I can probably weigh it in for a third of that for scrap value!! My adventures and fetish with Townshend seismic pods continue. I'm stalking a quad for my 301/401, cheaper than the seismic platform they advertise. The 301/401's each live in a massive birch ply plinth, the 301 lives on a bamboo isolation platform with x2 sets of spiked feet and this solution works very well, altought the deck is quite elevated. The 401 just sits atop a rack on my other rack, this is a situation that needs addressing. I have a very large bamboo platform which will be put into action, hopefully alongside the isolation pods. I'm hoping that this will mitigate the needs for a better plinth such as Panzerholz. Mass and isolation and vibration mitigation, all linked together to save a few quid off a panzerholz plinth.
Keep tuned dear readers, my adventures regarding my hearing and a dual volume control Radford amp (pending).

Good stuff this PC-TRIPLE C. I think I might rewire my Q Acoustics with it.

No it doesn't, Nordost do a speaker cable that's $30K a meter.
Your blokes doing 5 meters for less than that. Just cheap crap.

I think there's someone doing them at over $100K, might be MIT I think. Really the skies the limit these days, all you need is the money and the undiagnosed mental health problems.

Another turntable in the collection. This time my Thorens TD160 Super, I love these decks. A PITA to set up with the spring suspension but great little performers. Here's a little PSU upgrade that I''l get around to fitting at some point.

Yep, I'm shite! I've so many bloody projects. I've a 301 in the workshop at the moment I'm messing around with alongside this Thorens. The Thorens is my own little project for over Xmas and to prototype some mods I'm working on for the TD160's.
