I had this in a DPA T1 transport. The blu tak I removed made a globe about 8 inches in diameter! It was still a shite CD42 in a fancy box, with our without blu tak. DPA DACS are generally rather good As used at Arkless Towers. I’ve had a few and liked all but the little bit. PDM1 series 3 PDM2 and PDM3 were great. The T1 was a joke though. It was literally a CD42 minus the top cover and a section of a rear corner (hacksawed off) just dumped into an aluminium housing,

That bloke is a complete twat. Someone on SH forum did try separating the power and signal cables with a positive result. The other suggestions are pure guesswork and not based on any degree of knowledge. BTW would you invalidate the warranty for probably ineffective changes. By all means try it on a cheap player from Ebay but not a new CXC. Looks like he could be the father of “El,Cucuy”...Tony Ferguson of UFC fame.

You ever seen those kids jelly figures that you throw onto a window and they stick to it and flop their way down ? Well pick one up , cut an inch piece off and save yourself a Sh#t load of money because it'll do exactly the same job as a thirty quid sticky pad stylus cleaner. Tah Dah !

I've never used one of those sticky pad stylus cleaners, unsure whether they might do more harm than good over a period of time. Anyone on here using one?

Piece of Micro Fiber Sponge, that does the trick very well, just rest the stylus on it and viola all the muck is left behind.

I use one . The Onzo. Its excellent. Not sticky enough to hurt a stylus or cantilever. It just pulls the crap off them you wipe it clean with a wet finger. But the tacky toy does just the same.

The sticky stuff on lint removing rollers does the same. The gummy ones, not those with reverse sticky tape.

The stylus can't sink into it . Oh right ... the green rubbery ones. Fairy nuff.
