Hard to grasp that it's 22 years since this came out, I still think of it as recent.

Walter Becker's last solo outing, a bit dark and reggae tinged. Possibly one of the best productions ever, as you'd hope from a hifi nut who had his own studio.

That looks interesting, I'll take a punt on it Right now, this. Peter Gabriel New Blood. It's almost classical, got an orchestra and everything

Just had a look on the Amazon with a view to buying this, but their only two copies (used) are going for £70 and £150. Plus postage! So, over to Ebay, where I can get a used copy for as little as 30 quid... these people are having a laugh. Macca, when you go to bed take your copy with you. And take it with you to work. And get yourself a dog. A big dog, thieves are everywhere.

Pretty sure it did not cost me more than £12 but that's the CD and was back when it first came out. Might have been a bit more, maybe £17.99 but I don't think so. His other album "11 Tracks of Whack' is also worth having, that was never released on vinyl. Ofc everything Dan and Dan-related is worth having, goes without saying really.

I only looked at CD prices, on Amazon and Ebay. I'll check out vinyl prices, but I'm not hopeful. I've never even heard it, but perhaps you can chuck on a couple of tracks when I come over next week for the Wam show.

Got home from Greece at 3:30 this morning.. so completely frazzled. Brain not working which is why I was puzzled by reading of a track by Chris Eubank. Now I can’t get this bizarre thought out of my head.

A great band and one of my favourites, either despite - or possibly because - they exhibit a perfect combination of bombast and pretentiousness reminiscent of 'Spinal Tap'. A classic 'Tap-esque' incident was when the band was sued for $61,000,000 by the parents of the Native American boy pictured on the album cover: ''Tom and Jennifer Crazy Bear DuBray recently filed a $61 million lawsuit against the group; their label, Sire Records; and Time Warner, claiming that a photograph of their son, Eternity, 11, appears on the cover of Ceremony without permission. Attorneys say the picture may have been taken at a 1984 North Dakota powwow.
The photo also appears in the video for ”Wild Hearted Son,” in which the boy’s image, along with pictures of Martin Luther King Jr. and John Lennon, goes up in flames. Eternity, whose Native American beliefs associate the burning of objects with death, saw a clip on MTV while in a motel with his parents in North Carolina last fall and now refuses to participate in tribal ceremonies or to leave his house by himself, says Pam Liapakis, a lawyer for the DuBrays. ”Eternity’s father said to me, ‘They’ve condemned my son to death before he’s had a chance at life,”’ she says.''

''The cover art, made by Central Station Design, is a pop art photo of Carlos the Jackal; Pat and Matt Carroll of the company liked one particular image of Carlos, though they were unaware of his terrorist activities.
It received criticism from the Anti-Defamation League, who claimed that the band was using it to promote him as a role-model amongst a younger demographic.''
