I downloaded it last night and it's sound quality is superb. Haven't listened to it all yet, but man he can play!

Check it out, I'd guess it's on Spotify or whatever. Listened to this and felt like I'd been on some sort of journey through an 80's movie? Odd, but I liked It.

It is very 80s but it was still the 80s when I discovered it. Not my usual sort of thing but it grows on you.

Now onto Vol2 of Oscar Peterson. He's just played where he did exactly the same runs on the left hand as he was doing with the right, at the same time..... and these were not rudimentary.....the guy is phenomenal If you have it, listen from the marker in the pic. Wow.

Absolutely essential this one IMHO. I used to listen to this a lot back then. Then I noticed one of the downsides of these early DDD recordings -- flat and no dimensionality.

Nit wanting to get into a debate on this on the music thread but there is absolutely no connection between digital recording and lack of soundstage.

I'm currently listening to my two bloody grandsons (5 & 8) arguing the toss about who's turn it is on the trampoline. Can't wait for my daughter to get in from work.

was never much for hair metal back in the day but no disputing that the Crue were the kings of it. And this isn't half bad in a sort of sub-AC/DC type of way. Only cost me a quid in any case.

free image hostingWhat a great album this is, been a perennial favourite of mine since it came out. Even though I'm not keen on anything else they ever did. Brilliant both musically and lyrically. Steve Rothery's guitar solo on 'Sugar Mice' has to be one of the best things ever done by anyone.

Got this on vinyl, CD and DVD-A. The vinyl is worth a ton now, literally. The DVD-A is getting there too. All star band including 'Blue' Lou Marini and Alan 'Mr Fabulous' Rubin, both probably best known for their roles in 'The Blues Brothers.'

Stevie Ray Vaughan - Tin Pan Alley (Qobuz) You should listen to it via the 45rpm Mofi One Step pressing of Couldn't stand the weather, it is absolutely stunning on this vinyl release.

Renee Graham of The Boston Globe noted that Millennium "returns the band to its funk/r&b roots" with a "tasty bit of Minneapolis funk"
