This morning I got a new slant on an old scam from a Gumtree advert I had: From: Wilcox Britt Thank you for getting back to me. Can you assure me that I will not be disappointed with it? I'm ready to pay your asking price,I'm buying this for someone as a surprise package. but I just want you to assure me very well on this and the issue is that I'm very busy for now and am not around but I have a pickup agent coming for the pick up after the payment has been made to you and he will be present for all necessary thing that is needed. Due to my job, there is strictly no call that is why I asked my daughter to reach out for me. But I'm able to access my e-mail anytime as I will make use of a wireless laptop. My Mode of payment is via PayPal as I don't have access to my bank account online, but I have it attached to my PayPal account and this is why I insisted on using PayPal to pay. I will be responsible for all the PayPal fee/charges on this transaction and I will like you to get back to me with more pics if available, if you don't have an account with PayPal, it's pretty easy, safe and secured to open one. Just log on to www.paypal.co.uk, so I hope we can make the purchase as fast as possible. I have a mover that will be coming for the pick up once payment clears and they will be handling the title for me. So I look forward to hearing from you soon. Kindly get back to me with your Full Name: PayPal E-Mail Address: Firm price: Phone Number Wilcox. Sounds a thoroughly decent chap. I'm sure he is, a family loving man too, getting his "daughter" to seek out high value items to buy on his behalf. Another asshole that should have swimming lessons from a Great White.

Oh alright Thanks jammy - PLAY LOUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Last one - Feck this is good loud... Kinda reminds me at the beginning of a very old Hawkwind track from my youth (We Took The Wrong Step Years Ago)
Oh, I see that lantern trimmed low burning in our home And though I feel like crying, I swear tonight, I'll cry no more And how many times have I prayed That I would get lost along the way? Dream with the feathers of angels stuffed beneath your head The regulator's swinging pendulum
Come with me and walk the longest mile...
Fifty years on, has anything changed?

I bought two of these about this time last year and finally got them in January. I ended up selling one on for cost and keeping the other unopened until this morning. So finally opened up it up I'm not in the habit of spending £125 on a record so it was quite a big deal. Anyway beautifully packaged, high quality photos and thick card double lined inner sleeves but when I removed the first vinyl from the mofi anti static inner, inner sleeve it has a white mark about 10mm long in the vinyl and also the inner sleeve of record two is discoloured and has white ring wear. Contacted Mofi and they said that they can send replacements for the marked record and inner sleeve with my next order??? When I said there is no new order they said they would package up the replacement items and let me know the shipping costs. bccc726c-bbe4-4d7d-9dd3-19bbd1e0d14e by Tara OSullivan, on Flickr

The vids are so darned camp, but I liked this band's music -
I met them briefly in their very early days (Huang Chung) at the (BBC) Paris Theatre in London0 The vid below shows they could deliver live -
'I wonder why I live alone here, I wonder why we spend these nights together Is this the room I'll live my life forever I wonder why in LA To live and die in LA I wonder why we waste our lives here, When we could run away to paradise But I am held in some invisible vice, And I can't get away'

One last from this band. This track lives with me daily as my location reminds me -
How is it that all these years on, songs yoiuonce liked take on a whole new perspective - the album the below comes from has done it in spades... 'Working at your job all day, Sends the time spinning away Watch tv from half past six, Cook, make love and pick up sticks But you can hear the waves crash on the beach, At night Books you read can sublimate, Music seems to dissipate And maybe just a bottle of wine, And a couple of smokes and you'll be fine But you still hear the waves crash on the beach, At night You can feel the waves crash on the beach, At night Your lover lies beside you fast asleep, The moonlight falls upon the tears you weep And as you weep the waves crash on the beach, At night - oh at night So all you really need is love, Love to give, receive above And then the waves will soothe your heart, Your one true love will never part True love (is the answer to everything
True love is the answer, True love is the thing… '
And we will lie together both asleep, The moonlight will supply the tears we weep And as we weep, the waves crash on the beach at night On the beach... At night..
