I can hear up to 15-16 khz. Beyond that is major struggle. Sometimes I hate my inner ears because they get waxy very quickly. Runs in the family!
Never had my hearing professionally checked. I'm only relying on some online tests.
How high can you hear?

Only upto about 14 to 15k. I was tested at 17 years old and it was only 18k then - other kids were being tested at 25k. We had a cool hippy woman as a physics teacher and she just said You play headphones loud?
Yup.
So, you kids out there, keep the volume down, say NO to drugs and stay out of trouble

Tested my hearing many times. 10kHz limit in left ear. About 3kHz in right ear. Right ear has always been somewhat impaired. Left ear is probably normal for somebody as ancient as me! My enjoyment of Hi-Fi is not affected though, strangely enough.

I did another one just a couple of days qgo. I had a few goes and it was just a fraction either side of 17k. I’ll take that all day. Maybe it’s down to my dislike of headphone listening and never getting on with Rock music. My ears have led a sheltered life

My enjoyment of Hi-Fi is not affected though, strangely enough. It seems to play little part in hearing good from bad sound quality. Women also have way better hearing, particularly at high frequencies, yet appear less bothered about sound quality IME.

Walpurgis - please, what your Avatar a picture of? It looks like ones of those mystery pictures. Like the original Thunderbirds closing titles - when they zoomed out of some strange closeup and it turned out to be the engine on Thunderbird 4

Walpurgis - please, what your Avatar a picture of? It's a cross section of a Tannoy dual concentric drive unit (the alnico pepperpot type). Like this.

I see it now...funny when you can't get an idea of an image out of your head. I have yet to really hear some properly, believe it or not. Supertweeters will be lost on me I think..
