We’ve had an ra 930-ax cheaply integrated since 1996ish and it’s great. Drives most speakers, always works, and £150 new...

I had an RA840 BXII in 1987 and loved it, Stan Curtis Design IIRC, Sadly it blew up with a bang and smoke. I had a few amps to try to replace it inc Yamaha, Denon and Sansui but none were close. I Trio KA550 was okay but I soon got a Cyrus One and then a Myst Tma3. Only then did I feelmI had surpassed the Rotel.

Someone on this fora hates Rotel! Not heard a lot of the modern ones but the old ones from the 70's sounded good to my ears the 'RA311' & 'RA611'.. If its the 'RAX' Recieiers from the late 70's they sounded good enough for any man. Do not like their amps at all, they all sound like they are playing behind the speakers. Always preferred the more forward NAD's Their CDP's and Tape Decks I have always liked.

I loved that Rotel and kept it many years, it never put a foot wrong.

As you know Geoff i had a few 'F307's even three at once A very well respected speaker designer now owns one of them.. I can safely say they are super unreliable

I always go straight to the 'conclusions' when I'm reading reviews. S. I look at the price first and have a chuckle.
