My experience is quite limited. But here goes!
Will and Steve from 'Radford Revival'. Will is a nice chap, his father 'Steve' a typical ageing grumpy git. Didn't like his presence. Felt like telling him to wait outside.
Have met another Will, who used to run 'Silver High Breed Cables' now going back a decade ago. Lovely man I recall. Humble yet very clever. He was based 15 min away from Southall.
Len Gregory 'The Cartridge Man' Best description of Len - Eccentric bugger!
What about you?

Not many.
Max Townshend and Denis Morecroft at the Heathrow show. A good few chats with Max over the phone in the late 80s and early 90s. Bob Surgeoner of Neat. He used to run my favourite used hifi shop an di couldn’t stay away.
Can’t think of may others.

Spoke to Max once over the phone. Seemed alright. For some reason I didn't like his wife when I spoke to her.

I seemed to get on really well with Max. He was very generous in sharing his knowledge and was open about the materials he used. Never spoke to his wife.

I went round the Sugden plant and talked to the guy who made the revolver turntable. I told him the motor breakthrough noisewas too much. He said it shouldn't be . I said I fucking know it shouldn't be.

Not met many designers to be honest, and don’t feel the need to either.
Mr Firebottle. I have spoken to Arthur Khoubesserian on the phone, as well as the guys from Graham Slee.

Max is a great bloke and a real character. Have had the pleasure of his company for a few beers at several shows now, at Leamington we even had a couple of tequila shots lol.
Nick Gorham is a good friend, have done a few shows with him now, its always a lot of fun, there are some real eccentrics in the audio business.
Met quite a few names, Johnathon Billington of Music First, had a good chat at Leamington with Arthur Khoubessarian- first time I’d met him. Jes Kerr of Kerr Acoustics is a nice bloke, he had the room next to ours at Leamington. We’ve used a pair of his K300’s for the last few shows, very good speakers imo.
David Price called into say hello, met him on a few occasions- he came to Owston once, spent a couple of hours talking about Alfa Romeos, he’s a big petrolhead.

With my reviewer hat on I have met too many to mention. Most are nice people but there are some I have no time for.
Russell Kaufman (Russell K speakers) is my favourite because he is very knowledgeable and great company, loves his food and cider, so we do a cider tasting tour locally and finish up with a good blow out chinese meal afterwards.

I have met Philip Swift, the original owner of Audiolab and now Spendor, he is a very knowledgeable and nice chap.
Mike Creek at a show and in person he is no better than online.
I also met the guy who designed the Naim NAP300 amp, can't remember his name, seemed pleasant.
Can't think of anyone else off the top of my head.
