Picked up some older generation SR60's around a month ago. These are just for use, plugged into the crappy sound card on my laptop. Plugged them in today and they sound alright! Typical Grado style - musical, bright, lean, and enjoyable. The mids can really communicate the music quite well. The tone reminds me of listening to Royd speakers for the first time. At first listen the sound is a tad relentless, but after time you get used to it and focus on the good points. Can happily forgive their shortcomings.
Not a bad headphone!

I’ve got some SR60 and some SR80i. I can’t tell them apart tbh. I use the doughnut pads as I really don’t like the feel or sound of the normal ones.

Many regard the 60's the bargain sweet spot of Grado's. Couldn't agree more!
