'Twas a stroke of luck the young 'un being down your way. She says you were the perfect host and apparently your system sounds freakin' awesome but your flying machine's a bit scary.

Ah it has arrived! Great things the Firebottle Amplifiers. Congratulations Cheers, one is well chuffed. Still messing with cables/speaker choice /positioning, but the amp is something a bit special to build a system round, absolutely love it. Need a preamp now as I'm currently running the pc as digital vol control. Gonna try one of those chi-fi PGA2311 preamps for starters, as I can't yet use my cdp. The friggin hifi merry go round begins again and there was me fairly happy with a headphone setup.

I've just bought another PGA unit, this time the PGA2310 based one to check it out. Going to see what it is like in stock form compared to my modified 2310 based unit.

Just waiting to see what the other one Alan's ordered is like before pulling the trigger. I honestly can't see me owning anything hifi from now on without getting Alan to wave his magic soldering iron over it. Now I have two gurus to go to in Paul (RFC) for anything speaker related and Alan for electricals I'm well sorted for mods/repairs

Today I had another parcel declared lost in the post. Are things really getting that bad that people are having to randomly steal things from the postal services?
This time, I got a full refund.

If so, can you let me know where from? I know Weilang and a few others rebadge these. Fantastic things straight out of the box. Been looking for another for one of my kids, but can’t seem to find one. Cheers

It’s weird... the link comes up with an error message.. and exactly as it does through my own eBay page. I’ve deleted the eBay app and reinstalled but it still does it. If it works for you, I suspect it’s something in my own cache or history causing the issue for me. No worries, I’ll get it resolved. Fantastic bit of kit though. I was listening to it last night and reflecting on how well the whole system sounds. £50! Amazing

Thanks Brian Really weird. I just get this. The really strange thing is that the same error message pops up when I hit the ‘buy again’ button. Hey ho.

My rpi dac stack won't play, gives s no input message. The ssd works, moode loads, appears to work via the Web interface, I swapped fifo boards with no change occurring so I bought the new version of the ess9038qm dual dac board.
Being pissed off with it generally I also punted on a Gustard A18 dac. Akm 4499 dac chip job. Similar to Al's d90 and the smsl400 dacs.
Ill keep one or the other. Having heard the smsl400 I suspect it'll be the gustard. So I need the rpi stack in working order to flog it.
We'll see

I am sure the Stack will be up and running in no time!
