Today I had a brain fart.
I decided to pull the Koetsu RSP on my Bardo/12 "Enterprise4 in the main rig and replace it the EEI 555MCP I had on my 401/R200 in the 2nd system. The EEI is a Max Townshend cart from the early/mid 80s that cost as much as a Koetsu Rosewood ehen it was, on sale, though I picked it up for £75 delivered around 18 months ago. DAMN!!! I wish I'd done this before, the cart always sounded pretty good on the 401 but on the Bardo its bloody stunning! I'm guessing the rewired R200 was holding back its potential but now it's pretty much matched the bass and mids of the RSP but has a much more detailed and airey HF. I will give it a few days but think I may well look to sell the Koetsu RSP, especially as I play so little vinyl at the moment so it seems wrong to have such a good cart doing nothing.

Should be pretty good, same canti & stylus as 555 but an mm.

BIG funeral today for a local legend . i cared for him and he was an incredible guy . placed was full and lots of tributes and good food. glad it went off well as always stressful organising these things although i had a lot of help

Good spot That's built for a purist if ever there was one . . . . suppose it's going to be hooked up to a reel to reel only system It is going in to a R to R only system .... Only it's a R-2R 😉 |

I'm currently working on a specific PCB for a PSU for amplifiers. This will be available for public consumption in a month or so. You could build your own 686, your way... With my PCB 😂 |
