Very sad today Sully our ginger cat got hit by a car yesterday afternoon (caught on his rear end) and ran off. We found him hiding but when we tried to get him he ran off again (shock I suppose) and headed down some gardens. You could see he was bad as his rear legs were really wobbly! No sign of him today!

Oh no. That’s terrible. Our cat turned up 12 years ago as a starving kitten. People down the road had loads of cats, but got evicted and this one must’ve escaped. As we are on a busy road, she’s become a house cat. Last week we had visitors, who despite instructions decided to leave the bathroom window open. Of course the cat got out. I was really relieved when the cat shot straight back in the house though.. think she’s scared of the big outdoors now. Hope your cat is ok .. you never know he might just need some time to recover.

Most likely pelvic injuries, he'll need to be caught and seen by the vet for sure, my daughters cat has been hit twice by cars in our supposedly 20mph street and got away with cuts (£300 vet bill) and bruises both times.

Thanks all - still no sign so not sure if he can make it back if he is still alive. One of our friends has just gone looking - a bit ago I checked some of the parked cars just incase he was in a wheel well or nearer the engine but nothing showing. I fear the worse at the moment

Some kids had run into the road in front of sausage fingers carriage. When detained they said they were playing Coronation Chicken.

Today I am glad I am not in king Charles's shoes, I'd have had to go for a p*ss twice. Perhaps he's wearing his tenna pants.
Do they do royal appointment?

Good news - he turned up on the doorstep about an hour ago Smells of dirt.... Just got back from the vet's - suspect its either a broken femur or a dislocation of the rear right leg - everything else seems to be good. Have to go back in about 2 hours to discuss his x-rays and the next course of actions! Cheers

Yep me to only was an Indian Restaurant in the late 70s around 2am, a time when you paid extra for boneless chicken in your curry. I ain't never seen a chicken with thigh bones that big.

Thanks everyone He's back home know and in a cage, drugged up to the eyeballs. Operation is on Wednesday (dislocation) so has to be kept drugged up on morphine until the night before (lucky sod ....) In the cage as he has to not move his rear leg much - seems happy
