Watched a programme on TV called 'All Gardens Great & Small' with Miranda Hart & her Mum. The mother is driving around in an old Hillman 'Hunter' estate. Roots Group cars had a bad name but hey is still in one piece & working fine. However according to the directory there is only a handful of Estates still in existence. Nice to see em all the same..

My uncle had a Humber Super Snipe with red leather upholstery. We used to drive to Wales in it for our summer holidays at ridiculous speeds, before seat belts were invented. No idea if it's still around/driveable; my uncle died a couple of years back, but his son is a car mechanic so it's probably OK.

And in your favourite colour Andre. Aye just an attraction. The one she drove was a greeny colour. My fav Roots Group car was the HS120 Sunbeam 'Rapier'

I'd go for a Jensen Interceptor. Used to see a few round here as there was a specialist garage at the end of the street who used to fix them, but it's flats now.
Lots of the old cars that used to be plentiful on the roads I've not seen one in years now, like the Austin Maxi and Princess. The only ones I still see fairly regular are Mk1 Golfs and Moggy Minors.

Yeah we had a teacher at school who had a Maxi and his suspension went on one side. He kept driving around in it though, even though it looked ludicrous.
My old man had one for years though and never had a bit of bother with it. The 1750. Red with cream vinyl seats. Loads of room in them, think we had ten in it one time.

Mind you the days of getting cheap Series Land Rovers are all but over. Might get a series 3 at a reasonable price but you'll need more than a few coppers for a decent 2 or 2a and as for a Series 1 just forget it, they've been daft prices for a while...

VW campers were expensive 30 years ago. I used to live next door to a bloke who fixed them and sold them for a living and a good one was ten grand then. That was 1990.

My old 1928 Austin 7 Top Hat saloon still runs fine, for a car built in the 20’s. It is frightening when flat out at 50mph.
