Citronic 'CE22' Stereo Enhancer/Exciter - they cost about £60 new, I would never be without it, in fact i have two. This unit combines 2 processors to align the phase and focus of bass frequencies, improve the response of mid-high frequencies and add harmonic content to any "dull" sounding audio. The surround processor utilises the phase alignment engine to give a greater perceived width to the stereo field. |

HRT Streamer This is the single most influential thing that completely turned me onto Computer Audio & i have never looked back since. With Lossless it sounds better than any CD player i have ever used. I borrowed the Original Mk.1 from a guy in New York before they were even available in the UK. Plug in & play.. Ive used it on crappy Windows 10 but now use it on Windows 7 so it'll work on owt Windows

It is 'altering' the sound/signal. Through my eyes, it still behaves a bit like an EQ. But each to their own.

For one you came out with the EQ bollox. It is not an EQ nor does it act like one.
Ive fucked about with flat earth gear for many years, Never ever have i got it all to integrate. This mate is a perfect cure for that.
I get browned off cos you get the same old crap from audio enthusiast regarding sound shaping. If my stereo requires something like that to make it listenable so be it. For your information there is no rule book in Stereos, just a silly brain washed phase from donkies years ago that people just cannot drop.
You think its ok for a recording studio to Use FX processors, Equalizers as well the array of Mixing console Equalisation when recording albums, cos i can tell you the pre production sounds nothing like the final master tape.

This is true. That's why I never get some people going on about the sound of real instruments and it sounding 'live.' They need to learn how recordings are made! |

That would mean upsampling was eq then. Or valves for that matter. But I wouldn't say that they were. Semantics I suppose.
There's just as many crap purist systems as there is systems with all sorts of eq facilities so I don't personally think it's a deal-breaker anyway.
