FWIW I hate PC too. Lots of folk do but it’s often enshrined into law. As a forum, we are bound by that too, so discussion needs to stay within bounds.

I think the reason I was banned (again) from HFS was the fact that I said I wouldn't be watching any more Strictly Dancing once they introduce same sex dancing partners next year......WTF.

I agreed with you on there, but they didn't ban me. We were watching something the other day, the main character walks into a fancy jazz club and there's two blokes kissing. Completely unnecessary to the plot, so why do it. Just remembered the name of the series, Project Bluebook, similar to the X-Files. We watch a couple of old 70's series on Talking Pictures and it gives a warning at the start of the programme they may contain adult themes, outdated attitudes and language which some viewers may find offensive. We've been watching Peaky Blinders and the language in that makes 70's tv look like it was made for kiddies. On a series called Succession there's a young bloke having a Tommy Tank and the language is disgusting, which shows how hypocritical views are nowadays. |

Strictly is becoming a circus. But then someone said in one country they had someone in a wheelchair on it, How on earth can that be dancing? How can it be scored? If it’s not about ballroom and Latin, it loses its essence
But then for me there’s a wider issue when it comes to Strictly.......I shouldn’t be paying for it or any other BBC content via a licence fee. I hardly watch the BBC and I’d dearly love to see it all get wiped off th face of the Earth. It’s a dinosaur that is being subsidised to prevent extinction. It’s not needed today in any way, shape or form.
