Hopefully a good off topic subject. Post any of the three you want.
Jobs I’ve done: None worthy of mention. My favourite (least worst) was my first job. Working outdoors creating woodland steps, walkways, fences, gates etc.
Jobs I’d love: None. I’m happiest doing absolutely nothing.
Jobs I’d hate:
1. Anything working with children. 2. Prison Officer. It’s partial incarceration ffs. 3. Anything in a hospital. Bad energy. 4. Postman. Heavy loads, early starts, treated like Sh#t. 5. Shop worker. Putting other people’s needs first is alien to me. 6. Armed forces. Taking orders? Getting shot at? I’ll pass. 7. Factory work. Intensive, controlled, grim. I’d sooner shoot myself.
Anyone got jobs they’d love or memorable jobs they’ve done?

I'd like to be a film director or an international treasure hunter. Although I'd be happy just sitting on a beach all day with a million quid in the bank. None of them are likely to happen. Or ever were likely to happen for that matter although I did try.
Memorable - probably working in event security. Encountered a few B listers, saw a lot of bands for free.

Jobs Done:
Age 13-13.5 - Paper boy (Absolute shite, nothing more than slave labour)
Age 15-16 - Butcher (Stinks but had a laugh)
Age 16-18 - Electrician (Hated this Job, treated like a skivvy and had to battle to just actually do the job rather than make tea all day)
Age 18-21 - Van Driver, Spot Welder, MIG Welder, FLT driver (Absolutely loved this job, great people, great gaffer and paid well at the time)
Age 21-24 - Bus Driver (Loathed every day after the first 12 months. i was diagnosed with IBS and couldn't drive the buses so ended up as a parking driver)
Age 24-27 - LGV Driver (In this period i became homeless, jobless and just tried to get anything i could. I got this job via luck)
Age 27-36 - Railway - Station operations, Train Manager, Train running controller, Information controller. Flying high in the company and on loan to the head office from my role at Wolverhampton for over two years awaiting the next vacancy. Disaster struck when Wolverhampton station was taken over by WMT. I was forced (contractually) to return to my old contract and i got transferred to WMT and lost all the progress i had made with my career.
Age 37-38 - new railway company - Station Operations. (I actually love this job, no aggro, no stress and a great gaffer to work for. What initially looked like a huge kick in the balls after all my efforts before my transfer, turned out to be a blessing in disguise. The gaffer has plans for me, apparently lol)
Job i'd love:
I only ever wanted to be a guitarist. Nothing else ever crossed my mind when i was younger. Years on end wasted lol
Now, i quite fancy opening a cafe and working for myself, it may happen but probably wont.

Done
Tax assistant for Nat West, completing & submitting tax returns, mainly for pensioners with small portfolios to claim their tax dividends back. We usually got them about £30 back & then charged them £40 for the privilege. Interesting job as I got involved in more complex cases, dealing with capital gains calculations etc. but Nat West in their wisdom closed the local office & moved all the business to Chelmsford. I'd have had to commute there for less money so I decided to move on.
Many financial based positions for the local council (not quite an accountant as my payslip bore out..). I had the job down pat & ended up at principal officer level so on a decent screw for a local job but then, kind of by default (wrong place, wrong time) I got put in charge of a team of women who a) were all bloody useless & b) hated each other with a vengeance. It ended up with me spending 80% of my time dealing with their ineptitude & petty squabbles. I would quite happily have stayed in this job till retirement but, because of this shower, I decided to retire early.
Would love
Anything kind of arty, musician, artist, something like that (bit woolly I know but you did ask).
Would hate
Any driving based job.

Music and audio has been my life 'forever' and apart from a few years also as a school LSA (I learned a hell of a lot about myself and people in general but couldn't go back to it now - and the kids have less respect than ever I gather, ten years on) I'd like to stay in the audio industry and hope for more work in it once the uncertainty is over. No business acumen though so had I started my own thing fifteen years back when I could afford to, it would certainly have failed.

What if you could go back and revisit yourselves at school. What would you advise?
If I could rewind the clock, I’d probably have taken one of two career paths. For happiness I’d have set up my own woodworking business. For a good lifestyle, plenty money and early retirement, I’d have stumped up to train as a commercial airline pilot.

What if you could go back and revisit yourselves at school. What would you advise? no option to change anything at my school, they didn't let you choose your subjects until A level and I couldn't change what A levels I did as I'm too thick to do the science ones.
I'd have done PPE at University instead of what I did do but only because it would have been a bit more interesting. Still wouldn't have made any difference to the rest of my life though.
My regrets are all relationship-related, not work-related. Nothing I could have done differently in my early life would have changed my work history one jot.

I think I would have told myself to study harder, if I was still not successful academically, get yourself an apprenticeship with the Gas Board.
