The chap talking is Adam at Eden Audio. Sure, he's probably also trying to advertise his stock. But he does make some good points.

I’ve seen his videos before, and I like him. He has that authentic nerdiness that makes him a proper hifi enthusiast IMO

If you just want a sound you like, then buy what floats your boat. If you want to accurately recreate the original musical event, or experience it as the artist and engineers intended then buy hifi. The clue's in the name, its hifi, not low fi.
Both approaches are equally valid for enjoyment.
