I sort of regret parting with my Border Patrol power amp, because it sounded great, but I decided I couldn't be doing with valve amps, so I don't really regret selling it. Occasionally I ponder buying another one, but I know I won't.
Other than that, I've either kept stuff I liked, or moved it on if I didn't. Some things (such as Castle Chester speakers) I held on to for far too long. I knew quite quickly they weren't for me, but other spending priorities meant I had to stick with them.

I don't regret selling any systems, but I do regret selling my Epos ES-14 speakers. I wish I had kept them for old times sake!
In my early twenties, I sold my loved pair of Wharfedale Diamond II speakers and bough a pair of Rega Kyte. The Rega's were atrocious so I instantly regretted that decision.

I've never sold a whole system.

Me neither. But there's nothing I really regret now, although there was the odd item or two at the time when I had no choice but to sell if I wanted to try something new. I've always moved gradually onwards and upwards, albeit at a snail's pace.
There's nothing in Shane's list I rate anyway except the Alchemist. I've never heard the Exposure X so I don't know about that.

Everything I have sold has been to push the system on so I don't really regret selling anything. I wish I'd managed to keep a couple of things I've had along the way such as a "Bob's Device SUT" I had on loan. It was going to be for sale but the seller asked for it back and told me he'd let me know when it was for sale. I got impatient after a few weeks and bought a Rothwell MCX SUT. It was not a good unit in my system at the time and then the Seller of the Bob's Device bollocked me as he was waiting for me to say I wanted it lol.
A miscommunication meant I missed out on a SUT I rate very highly that you can't buy (for the £200 he wanted) anywhere.
