Lucky win for Lewis Hamilton yesterday in a race which showed that Leclerc is the real deal, and Vettel is pretty much done.
If Ferrari can keep up the pace they showed over this race weekend, I think they will walk the championship assuming they can sort out the issues with reliability. Mercedes just aren't quick enough!
Red Bull were nowhere and Max Verstappen did his usual to poor old Sainz, I suspect in frustration.
Renault have to go back to the drawing board, their car is not only now slower than one of their customer cars, McLaren but also less reliable. Rather embarrassing!
Williams, where do we start? Hopefully the appointment of Patrick Head as a Consultant will help drive the team forward but I think they need to get rid of Claire Williams. Ever since she took over as Deputy Team Principle the team has spiraled downwards. Kubica needs to be replaced too, nice guy and massive achievement to return to F1, but he just isn't quick enough anymore.

Formula 1 WTF!
At least you can catch a nap while attempting to watch F1, round and round they go vroom vroom vroom ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. Best cure for insomnia there is, apart from a blow to the head with a Cricket Bat, or a bottle of gin and some Rohypnol.

It can be handy for hangovers on occasion. You can go to sleep and everyone thinks it's just the race.

It was Lewis that made me laugh the other day. Apparently (according to the press) he has turned vegan, and he is now concerned about saving the planet. The funny thing is that he used to fly everywhere on his private jet (which I believe he has sold), but his job is hardly eco friendly.

He is vegan . But his initial reason was animal welfare. He's now saying that he's starting to question other aspects of his life. He's a man of honour. And a modest , caring really considerate man , if you're ever lucky enough to meet him. I'll find the pics of my daughter with him later. I once saw him stop everything on his way to the podium while he ran back down to the crowd and picked up a phone that a girl had dropped over the barrier for her. You wouldn't see Vettel do that..

Lewis always comes across as a good guy. When he moans about something it is quite natural because he is a born out and out racer so wants to win. He gets a lot more stick than most for various reasons and everyone comes out with the bollocks that he has the best car and that is the only reason that he has won so much, but then again, every mutlipe F1 champion has generally had the best car, so what is their point. Equally if that were the case, Rosberg or Bottas would have been World Champion more often wouldn't they, seeing as they had the best car, LOL. Either way, I rate him the best of his generation, is he the best ever, I doubt we will ever know!

Gerhard Berger last week said that until now he had never put any driver in the same league as Senna. Not Schumacher , not Lauda , no one. He now admits that . Lewis is the best ever. Add foot always having ther best car , I don't think that's true. He's won races with cars deemed not as good as others at that time. Add to that the fact that he doesn't fold under pressure like all others do. Vettel , Verstappen , Schumacher included. He's a sod to have behind you piling the pressure on which he can do in a slower or damaged car with snagged tyres lap after lap without any let up . All these are the signs for me of his superiority.

I read the same Gerhard Berger interview. He wasn't subtle in his admiration for Lewis.
His ability to keep up with other drivers in a clearly faster car is what impresses me the most. A lot of this is because he generally brakes later that the majority of his competitors.
Those people that are saying that either Leclerc or Verstappen are in the same league as Lewis are living in a strange dream world. The both have huge potential, but they aren't in Lewis' league yet.

While I think Charles has a massive talent . I feel Max has to get rid of the petulance and the 'victim' thing. He's ok when he comes out of a dirty move in front. When he loses out it's a different matter. LeClerk got him back nicely the other week and he's still whining about it ! When he pushed LeClerk clean off the track it was just 'hard racing'. You can't have it all ways , Max lad. The episode where he walk to another pit with his fists up went against him for me. It put him into the ' great I am ' category. You'd not see Lewis lose his rag like that. The fact that Max looks like a haddock is quite funny though.

I donβt doubt the talent of Lewis. The results speak for themselves. It just makes me chuckle that he can have these views and use more tyres/fuel in a weekend than I would do in quite a long time.
