My Toshiba SR-370 plus Mission 774 (original) sounds bloody excellent and didn't cost much (comparatively).
I honestly think it would wipe the floor with the Xerxes and R200 combo. The dynamics, integrity and timing of the SR-370 are spot on and the 774 just lets the music through.
