Getting beyond a joke now. Brexit, whether you voted in it out, has been voted for by the British public and should be carried out by those in power. All this stalling and procrastination isn't helping the UK or its economy at all. The EU are hoping we F#ck this up and abandon the idea. I hope we don't because I hate the idea of the "United States of Europe" which is where I think the EU is headed. And is already there in some respects.

We should have had a vote in 1992 over the Maastricht Treaty. That's when things moved from being a simple trading block which the vast majority of British people had no problem with, to what was clearly an attempt to create a US of Europe. A flag, an anthem, a single currency and so on. The reason we didn't get a vote then was because they knew it would be a landslide against.
Of course it would have been far easier to extricate ourselves from it then than it is now.

What makes me laugh is these people who reckon we should let all the children vote (well 16 or over) because it's 'their future.'
This despite the fact that for all of recorded history, in every culture and civilisation, it's been the older people who make the decisions because they have all the years of wisdom accumulated from experience and the stupid kids have none! But yeah, turns out that was all wrong and we should have been letting the teenagers run things instead. FFS.

I get what they are saying but let's be honest, their brains haven't even fully developed at 16 so no, they don't get a vote. They also want the 16-18yo demographic to vote because they want to remain. They realised that there is a huge number of imbeciles under the age of 18 who they could rely on to swing the vote because they don't know any better. Offer a vote to poppers sniffing kids taking their GCSEs and have Zero life experiences or business acumen. Utter madness. I wonder what Labour or the Conservatives would say if one of the other parties showed a strong opinion in the 16-18 demographic and wanted to use it against the other party. I guarantee they'd squash it. It's bollocks. The vote is done, the result is in, the action MUST be completed. It's the democratic way. If they don't do it, there will be absolutely no point doing anything else via a voting system.

Just look as the abysmal governments we repeatedly see elected.

Just look as the abysmal governments we repeatedly see elected. That's due to the lack of alternative options mate. Imagine if a credible party emerged that actually appealed the the working class. It'd be a landslide.

If they don't do it, there will be absolutely no point doing anything else via a voting system. I take the opposite view that itโs now much clearer what Brexit will mean. We even have two real options in May Deal and No Deal I see no issue whatsoever with giving another vote because itโs now a more informed one. As in any election, a new vote would supersede a previous one and it would be based on more information. Whatever a new vote decides, IT will be the will of the majority, it cannot therefore be any breach of democracy.

For it to be a genuine option it has to be at least viable. Lib dem, Greens, UKIP, they're all idiots just the same as Labour or Conservatives.
Like going to buy a car and the dealer offers you Trabant. I don't want that are their any other options? Yes mate, how about a Lada Riva or an FSO Pollenez?

Nothing like a two stroke I love the things. And all the cardboard hell that is unique. Brexit? I have no opinion we have so many problems in South Africa. I have divorced my self from politics, and the news, just the same cluster f^*k over and over, second verse same as the first. I do however despise Elmar Drump with all my being. Can I start a Donnie Dumpster thread please, helps me get it all out?

Unfortunately no one with any real world experience wants to go into politics, it's just airhead dreamers who prophesies this and that with no understanding of factual expectations.

Well I've started putting aside some basic essentials ahead of the likely chaos after the 31 October Brexit deadline and the inevitable panic buying on the run up to that date. Panic buying may well cause shortages of stuff other than what comes from the EU, as many folk won't know what's what and just grab anything. My stockpile won't go to waste. It'll just take a while to use up. Just imagine running out of bog paper.....What fun!

Some bog paper is made in the U.K., so you should be ok. Having done my Brexit 12 years ago, I wish you all the best of luck.
With the current exchange rate, I have been looking around for a few bargains.
