I love stylish amps. I currently have a Sonneteer Campion, a Myst Tma3 and a John Shearne Phase 2 reference. All,are "lookers" as far as I'm concerned.

The Campion is a gorgeous amp.
I also love odd looking amps that tends to polarize opinions. The Alchemist Kraken APD6 is one good example.

I have difficulty with its looks, as I dislike anything Gothic, even Tim Burton films Some of the more lurid colours such as green hammerite with gold knobs make it even harder to live with, but one day i will try one. I'm really looking forward to trying the John Shearne Phase 2 Reference. Only drawback is it's the one with gold knobs. I will be trying to source some chrome ones ASAP!

Another stunning looking amp I like, is the Papworth (Burgundy Range) TVA-8/TVA-10. They also happen to sound lovely. My Dad used to have the 8 back in 2003.

They are amazing lookers. Probably the sort of amp you'd end your jkurney with,

I might try one of these in the next 12 months. It would hopefully be my "forvever" amp.

Well made, especially on the inside. I wouldn’t want to own an amp that was poorly made on the inside,

I don't know how to post pics so here's a link. en.audionet.de/machines/amp-i-v2/My brother has recently purchased on of these, he was using a VTL S200 but wanted to move away from valves, and this saw off intergrated's from Vitus and T & A. He is using a Rossini dac as the pre. He has the black version which you can see by using the adjustment switch.

Your brother seems to have impeccable taste. I recall some very tasty DCS stuff you've mentioned him having too. That Audionet amp rings a bell too: Might've been Pinky who bought one? I seem to recall whoever it was being seriously impressed.

I've never read about anyone owning Audionet, although many seem very impressed by Vitus. We thought the T @ A amp better and Audionet better still. That is why I mentioned them, and no I am not a shill, but just as another option for anyone in the market for this type of amplifier.

I got really sick of all this nonsense posted elsewhere about shilling. Before I visited hifi forums I thougt it was an old British old or an Austrian unit of currency! Anyone is free to mention any product they like here and sing its praises from the rooftops if they like. If they make or sell something, they can be upfront about their interest. The people reading can make up their own minds about any advice. Personally I think it's infinitely more lilkely that someone will mention and praise things they like and want to share than it is for them to be getting back-handers.

Well said. If you like something or not, you should be allowed to say so without issue. You get to know the smarmy ones who will pipe up and find fault. I just ignore them and I hope more people will do the same. Maybe then they will go away and leave those of us who love hifi to carry on talking about it.

I like some of the old stuff I did what are your thoughts. I’ was go)no to say “porn” but it’s actually too classy for that. It’s more like coffee table erotica!

I've always fancied getting hold of a gold Claymore. Me too but the one that frustrates me is the blue one that I lusted after but didn’t buy. It was a one off, which I didn’t know at the time. It was in the Sound Org window reduced from £350 to £280. I actually asked to hear it when I bought my ES14s but David said there was no point as the Onix was miles better with Epos. At that time I believed everything I was told by hifi dealers and magazines. The Onix did work well, but not as well as Naim 62/Hi Cap/140 and nowhere near as well as Exposure VII and VIii. The rest isn’t history, but I still wish I’d owned that blue Ckaymore.

The Unison Reasearch Absolute 845 integrated has something about it. I'm not sure if it's beautiful or ugly, but it's certainly striking.......And I'd like one!
