After dropping two bags of loose resistors, I spent ages sorting them out. I then thought, wouldn't it be great if I had a little machine or gadget to read the values for me. Enter the Chinese market. I picked this little gizmo up for £7 delivered and built it up today. 6 pieces of acrylic, 4 spacers and a few screw. 10 minutes later I am measuring all the components in my odds and sods box for fun. Well happy.  |

All you need now is a box with separate little compartments. I've bagged the bits and labelled them. I don't need too much storage at the minute but if things go to plan, I might do! |

Actually, Aldi sell compartmentalised storage boxes once or twice a year, I’m on the lookout one or two more, so will post here if I see them. They were £5.99 so I might even be able to confound my prediction.

B Black - 0
Bastards Brown - 1
Rape Red - 2
Our Orange - 3
Young Yellow - 4
Girls Green - 5
But Blue - 6
Violet Violet - 7
Gives Grey - 8
Willingly White - 9
But that was a long time ago, when handy gadgets, PC, and calculators weren't invented.

You have to get that done this year. Not a chance mate. Over the last year and a bit I've spent £5k on HiFi. Just about to spend £3k on a motorbike as my car is no longer adequate for the new job and I've promised my lovely, forgiving wife I'll concentrate on doing the jobs in the house . That's on top of selling cables, PCBs and building phonstages for people. I'm flat out lol |
