The 306 is a lovely little amp.
For a bit of fun, I bunged mine back in the system this afternoon, driven from my Monarchy Audio M22C DAC which has a volume control, so no pre-amp needed. You know what? It had me thinking 'does anybody really need more than this?' It sounded bloody excellent driving the Cheviots, plenty of grip and punch, clean top and very nice transparency through the mid. These things are a total bargain for the money they sell at.
