I recently bought some of these two piece items with I think a ceramic square and a cloth bag with the pad inside . I had purchased them for putting under equipment such as my Logitech Transporter . But my Quads have gone for a service and I am using a loan set of Totem 1 mini stand mounts . So they sound very good but the bass seemed to my ears a little smeared . So as they were there doing nothing out three of the Ravioli pads u set each speaker . Not expecting too much but was very pleasantly surprised they have cleaned up the bass no end making it much tighter and better controlled . Voices and instruments are showing better tonality closer to the Quads and have real air around them . Have tried these before and the latest ones are a bit expensive . I know these are not meant for under speakers and would probably not work with a big heavy pair of speakers but they seem to have a very positive effect on the Totems . I expect like most things these will have a settling in period and may well improve perhaps Tony could comment on that . Will hopefully be adding Auva 50,s to the stands on Monday and see what that does .

Just thought I would update on this as the Totem Signature 1 speakers I was using a buyer stepped forward so had to return them . I tried a few sessions both with and without the BR pads and the sound was much better with them between stand and speaker . My very kind friend has now let me loan a pair of Francis Munoz LS3/5A clones which look lovely . Unlike the Totems these sounded really nice from cold . Again I did a few listens both with and without the BR pads and again much better with . From what little information I can find these are not going to work with very heavy items but neither of these speakers are heavy so perfect . One thing I did do which I know will be doubted and scorned in some quarters I put the speakers on with the Cascade Burn in file on repeat overnight and sure enough they have improved and sound even sweeter today .
