Didn't want, didn't need, was browsing YouTube and saw it mentioned a few times, thought I'd try one. The Boss hasn't noticed it yet although she's heard it The little remote that it comes with is excellent. So far so good, never heard Class A before and I like it, Steve and Taran do too, will it stay, only time will tell I have to sell a couple of things to help pay for it. Please buy my Transporter Streamer and save a life

It's a looker! Something nice about the styling.

It's a looker! Something nice about the styling. Sounds as good as it looks too ☺️ Busy comparing the phono stage in it, has MM and MC which is a bonus these days, amps tend to have only MM if at all. The internal stage is excellent on MC 😮

Nice! Always liked to look of those. Similar design, slightly wider to help with cooling. The remote is metal and works great and to be honest vol+ vol- and mute is all you need. Phono stage on MC is excellent, it really gels with the Koetsu. I've yet to try the MM side but it's going to be hard to go to the bother 😁

I have an old one of those in the Garage. Needs a full overhaul, I think the main caps may be missing and the fans are probably noisy from memory.
Must get it out and sorted at some time.

That would be a great project, these new ones are almost the same but with higher rated parts to deal with the heat better. I'm sure an original upgraded would sound great too.

Fans are mentioned as a means of cooling but in a separate box on this website. www.markhennessy.co.uk/mf_a1/introduction.htm

I built many years ago a 'clone' A1 which got very toasty - see if I can find pics.
Darko was fairly enamoured with it in his latest YouTube vid.
