Aqvox USB2 MKII Digital to Analogue Converter - Extensively Upgraded
SOLD
I am the second owner of this DAC, the original owner (Oli) bought the DAC brand new just over a year ago, carried out all the modifications and then sold it pretty much straight away to me after i asked to buy it immediately upon hearing it . . . .
Modifications detailed in this thread:
audioaddictsforum.com/thread/2920/aqvox-dac-modification-thread
Internal modifications:
Highlights:
Burr-Brown PCM1796 chips
Dual toroidal custom built linear power supply
Factory tested output modules - highest spec (these are graded at the factory)
Huge list of upgraded components caps/regulators etc.
Original packaging included.
4x digital inputs: Digital inputs: USB 1.1, COAX (electrical), TOSLINK (optical), AES/EBU (digitally balanced)
2x analog outputs: balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA.
1x digital output : The inputs COAX, TOS, AES/EBU are output on the USB output up to 48kHz/16bit.
1x headphone output in audiophile quality
Dimensions: (W / H / D) approx. 435 x 59 x 290 mm
Weight: approx. 3 kg
List of technical and design features
1. No op amps in the signal path.
2. Fully symmetrical circuit design in the entire signal path.
Pure single-ended Class A operation with local negative feedback . No overall negative feedback !
3. 192kHz/24Bit upsampling.
Regardless of the incoming sampling frequency, all signals are converted to 192kHz/24Bit. Can also
be switched off with bypass.
4. Reclocking of the signal using an ultra-stable precision clock to reduce jitter.
Temperature and aging compensated oscillator modules ensure extremely low jitter.
5. Digital inputs: AES/EBU and COAX (from 16bit/32kHz to 24bit/192kHz), Toslink (from 16bit/32kHz to 24bit/96kHz),
USB 1.1 (6kHz to 48kHz)
Any questions please ask.
Cheers
