Did SAEC ever release a solid core version of the SPC 850 speaker cable? No. Not as far as I know. The solid core alternative is made by Acoustic revive |

rexton I use the solid core Acoustic Revive, purchased from Phonomac, if you want to try it I go away in 7 weeks and you'd be welcome to borrow it then.

I would have loved to try it but I have modded my external XO's to my big Tannoy speakers to get rid of speaker binding posts, so I have nowehere to attach the cable to my speakers. This sounds weird but I have an update coming at some point on my blog. |

The 850 does have a solid core with a twisted strand outer layer of copper.
