A good saving for probably the best an Ekta mk II can get! Parts alone would be around £3k on these. I would offer support and advice to a future owner.

Bonkers.....Superb speakers, great price.
You need a proper amp for them though.

I would also guess after your experience Oli the right room as well . Still takes nothing away from a very special build that will sound epic with the right system and setting up .

Room modes happen in every room, it just happened that the EKTA had the same port tuning as my room mode. Sensational speakers.

In fact, I've rarely heard better bass anywhere else now.

Didn't work brilliantly here Vs what I have now, but they were still the best sounding speakers I've had here until the mini vaders. Room now is no factor in any way other than soundstage, which I cannot overcome.

But you did have to design a brand new kind of hybrid speaker to achieve that! The Hybrid speakers (designed by Troels) have been around for quite a few years now. I wouldn't want to take credit for the Nextel 2F technical design (that's all Troels Gravesen). I did, however, redesign the structure and aesthetics of the cabinet. IME the hybrid speakers have brought improvements (vs passive speakers) in all rooms I've measured/listened.

Intersting... I wonder why? I was curious about the potential replacements...
