Thats certainly an interesting take. Copper and Silver have certainly never mixed well when used together in any cable i have made.

Au/Ag, Cu/Au and Cu/Ag mixtures have also sounded Sh#t to my ears, either go pure Cu or pure Ag.

Thats certainly an interesting take. Copper and Silver have certainly never mixed well when used together in any cable i have made. My impression was that he was talking about silver and copper in different parts of the HiFi setup, not plated cables or even cables of mixed metallurgy. |

Another implementation of trying to control the "tone" of your system, perhaps? It's absolutely a case of fine tuning IMO, but people have done this for years. |

I have silver for data from CDT to DAC and copper everything else. That's the best it's been so far. |

Weirdly I have a full silver loom in my 301 setup but copper cables SAEC (of course), so it's stuff i've been messing around with for years. Next......
