I already own a REL sub, this comes with it's own connecting wire, two internal strands connect to the left and right + terminals and one strand can either connect to the L or R negative terminal on the amplifier.
Now my question, what if the sub has Line Level, these appear to be RCA plug inputs, how do you connect to an amplifier?
If the sub has High Level inputs, these look like normal speaker inputs accepting bananas for both left and right + and -, I would assume you just connect via another pair of speaker cables?

If the Sub has line level inputs then you can connect either a second pair of outputs from your amplifier or a tape out directly to the REL. With regard to high level then it is as you say speaker output to the REL then REL speaker outputs to your main speakers and the REL will filter the output to your main speakers according to the settings on the REL .

Thanks for your reply Andrew, my query has nothing to do with my REL sub which I am happy with and how it connects. This query would be for a totally different sub, my amplifiers only outputs are speaker outputs, does this mean I cannot use Line Level inputs on the sub and would have to use High Level, and do these just connect via a second pair of speaker cables?

Sorry Dave misunderstood . If the SUB does not have Line Level inputs then it is a single run from your Amp to the SUB then the SUB has filtered speaker outputs which you connect to your speakers . Never used a SUB but reading about them and talking to those that do Line Level input is best for sound level but then requires care to get to work well with the main speakers . Using the High Level connection reduces the control but may well make it easier to blend in with the main speakers as the sound will be filtered by the SUB .

Here's a link to the sub (you may have to copy and paste into a new tab to see it) www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006166947474.htmlGo to the second photo down, put your cursor over the photo to enlarge and you can see a Line Level input and below what look like speaker terminals for both left and right. I'm assuming an amplifier needs a tape out for the line level which my amplifier does not. Looking at the sub, would I just connect another pair of speaker cables.
