I thought I would try a new cable, as it was recommended by Bill Leigh of Auden, who supplied the speakers I have, via my usual dealer. He uses itv at shows to demo his speakers. Its the Audiomica Laboratory Dolomit Reference Loudspeaker Cables. Yes, they are not cheap (to me anyhow) but as was unimpressed by the TQ Ultra Black II, I thought I would give them a go

They are superb, even with a defective speaker, and boy are they heavy and long at 2.5 meters

Okie dokie. a good cable, and a step up from my usual TQ Black II's, BUT what has put me off is the sheer length of them. While many can do the 2.5 meters, I cannot, its a lot of wasted cable and it looks very room un friendly (according to the better half). So fired of an e mail asking if they could make a custom 1.5 meters, just waiting for a reply ( I really need just 1.2 meters, but playing it safe). IF they can, I will poss go for them, if not may get the EWA LS80's, as demoed the LS40's which were good

Pete, just thinking, 1.5m might be an unpopular length if you came to sell, 2m would be more popular. If these cables are end game it doesn't matter.

IF, IF I was to somehow magically come into some money, it would be used or something else like amp/speaker upgrade (kidding Jill, honest) |
