Just under a month to go until the best audio show in the UK starts @ the great country venue, De Vere Cranage Estate on Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd of June. Our thoroughly enjoyable annual pilgrimage 'Up North' is one of highlights of the audio calendar for ourselves. Plus, we will be supporting our North West branch run by the 'Maestro of the sliders' Peter Woolliscroft. Always a great atmosphere and buzz about the show, which is wide ranging in the equipment being shown & the exhibitors available for the general public. Superb venue, great food & drink available, parking & shuttle transport to and from Holmes chapel station available during the whole show opening times and beyond. We will be located in room Stephenson III. This year we have a real treat for the visitors the very first showing of the sublime Tad Labs GE-1 speakers of which Stereophile remarked "It's a crowded marketplace, but the GE1's stand out. There is deep technical knowledge at work here, but you can set aside any concerns about overly analytical performance. The sound is emotion-enhancing and soulful. If you have an opportunity to audition these loudspeakers at a show or a dealer, you really should make the effort. The TAD Grand Evolution Ones are superb, definitive music makers, competitive with the best high-end audio has to offer" Pairing with these quite remarkable speakers is Tad Labs Reference M700s stereo amplifier, again a first time showing at a UK show. Hewn from the upper Reference series of TAD Laboratories products. This amplifier partners exceptional well with the GE-1's to provide a wide open, fluid, natural and articulate encompassing sound, with very realistically dynamic contrasts and quite breath-taking bass depth, clarity and speed. Coupled with Aurender’s reference streaming server solution the also sublime N30-SA feeding a special guest digital to analogue converter as well as a Coherent Systems bespoke unit. MUTEC, will be delivering the sonic benefits of their world renown clocking products, we will also have the new Ref 10 Nano at the show as well. All cabling/Mains conditioning/ Grounding/Earthing solutions will be by our sister company Musical Coherence. Support systems by Creaktiv & Solid sounds. Paul Knipe has manufactured a superb bespoke amplifier plinith for the show/ Track audio isolators also help us deliver our award-winning sounds here as well. Equipment isolation by Black Ravioli newest creation the Big Pad Plus. Do drop in and say hello, we promise a very special room this year. See you there!

Tony, I did think it's a bit cheeky to have 'Visitors Choice Best Sound' cards up even before the show. Hopefully we'll see you there.

I shall certainly be in for a listen and a catch up Tony. Pretty sure that line-up will (and should) sound rather special.
It's always a treat to hear systems of that calibre.

I shall certainly be in for a listen and a catch up Tony. Pretty sure that line-up will (and should) sound rather special. It's always a treat to hear systems of that calibre. Hello Jason, To be fair I am sure they will be more than one or two equally as good set ups at the show, some simpler, others demonstrating a very different flavour yet desirable for many reasons which is why audio is so personal. More than welcome to drop in for a chat & a listen as are any of you, Cranage for ourselves is about awareness of Coherent Systems and what we can offer music lovers from mild to wild. Yet what it really boils down to is how each person takes their preferences from the various rooms that are demonstrating and use it to mould their own specific end result. We like to feel we run a relaxed & informative room, if it the sound being generated is not to your taste that is fine, there is no one size fits all me dear You can assemble what you feel is a great system, place 10 people in the room and the results usually pan out like this, five will think it’s wonderful, four will loathe it, and the last member will not pass an opinion until he has consulted four forums, his best mate and a random shop for confirmation. That's life We really love the vibe/visitors/hotel staff/Organiser/and smoothness of loading and unloading at Cranage imho the best all-round REAL-WORLD show in the UK. Being as this is a North West regional show it’s a bit of a trek for us around 400-mile round trip in a 7.5 tonne lorry, five staff to house and feed for five days, show costs etc. I'm not moaning about the amount of effect that goes into a show, although over the years I do feel some people do not fully appreciate the amount of work that goes into actually exhibiting at a show. Also, other exhibitors bring far more equipment than we do! It starts on the Tuesday, loading up boxes and creates from storage then Wednesday/Thursday is packing up equipment and carefully loading the lorry/vans/ leave Thursday evening/ hotel overnight / Friday morning 9 am at venue unload/ measure room / set up usually finished by around 6pm, well earned drink/ back to the Hotel/ Saturday look smart (LOL) and attempt to know what you are talking about while smiling/engage with the public for 8 hours/lock up set air con/hotel food!/same on Sunday/ pack up usually finished by 7.30pm/ lorry safetly parked hotel & evening meal/ Monday morning long breakfast/ drive back/ base around 4pm/ answer emails and calls/ Tuesday unload lorry/ boxes back to storage/Wednesday reassemble demo room system. So, it does take about a week from start to finish. Now quite a few exhibitors can be broken down and in the two cars in under an hour yes, we have slightly more equipment as we bring a lot of products for static display.
All I can say is we will do our very best to make sure visitors have an entertaining and interesting time when they drop in to see.

Yes a lot of work, even for a relatively simple system such as the Longdog room. Not just setting up either, we spend longer trying to get the room to sound as good as we can. Still a lot of fun though, look forward to a few beers Tony. :-)

Think you are to be congratulated Tony. Building a brand like yours needs you to garner trust in your views, service and offer. I particularly appreciate that of course you do hi-end, but also have no problem looking at other budgets. Well done.

Tony, don't forget your Yorkie bars for the journey to Cranage, you won't look like a 'proper' trucker without them.
