We have finally relented and produced a fully Upgraded Mutec MC3+usb (both with DC conversion & internal restructuring) power by one of our ultra-lower noise and stiff linear dual rail power supplies, coupled with a matching Coherent 6D G2 DC umbilical lead. The net result of this combination is a real positive step forward in digital replay improvements (even with the more illustrious equipment) Possibly quality gains can be achieved with large lowering of the noise floor, a greater sense of ease and relaxedness to the sound, yet with zero loss of dynamic contrasts. Greatly improved sound staging and instruments separation all culminating with a significant improvement in long term listenability with no grain or grit mudding the sound scape. Below are high specification industry standard analyser readings demonstration signals which are significantly below the threshold of human hearing and well below the stock products performance. Have displayed both logarithmic & linear high value FFT’s and you can clearly see absolutely zero 50Hz (and harmonic content thereof) mains interactions.
