Hello Should my tone arm be level across the record? as mine seems to be angled up slightly at the stylus end

Normally yes it should be level, however cartridge depth is not a standardised value so there will always be issues. Some tonearms are height adjustable others are fixed and need shims to adjust height. If it really grates with you then unless you can adjust/shim the arm pillar your only other option is a thinner platter mat, they're available in 1mm if you look on fleabay. Tail down on a cart will tend to flesh out the mids & bass whilst nose down elevates the treble. If the tail down is only minor then don't worry to much, they never did in the mid 70s - late 80s when the d3ck was made.

Blimy there's a lot to turntable ownership !! I'm learning a lot and enjoying it๐ I'm quite happy with the sound I like more bass anyhoo it's just my analytical brain telling me something was off
