John Martyn - Transatlantic Sessions series 2

Came across this late on BBC 4 one night and had forgotten about this series which combined artists from both sides of the Atlantic either in folk songs I some of the artists own material . In series 2 John Martyn performs two tracks from his Church With One Bell album , Mister Mister and He,s Got All The Whisky . John must have been a clean phase when this was recorded as the songs are both superb live recordings . I have managed to buy the two cd,s volume one and two but they are available on Tidal and probably Qobuz and Spotify too . Well worth a listen . Bonus for me is that there is also a fantastic recording by James Grant of Cure For Life with Emmy Lou Harris backing which is never a bad thing .
