I’m looking for a pair of shielded RCA to RCA cables to go between my turntable and phono stage to cure a hum problem that I have. Length 0.5 to 1m length. Nothing too expensive. . .

Do the cables pass close to a transformer, or psu?
If not it's unlikely the be picking up hum from the air, much more likely to be grounding.
Don't think I've ever seen phono leads pick up hum from the air, taxis, yeh. Hum from transformer proximity is magnetic, shielded cable won't do much of anything unless it's mu-metal.

Agree with the above. What are you doing with the TT grounding wire currently? Try the opposite (i.e. connect if disconnected; disconnect if connected).

I tried a few cables with a separate grounding cable and even moved kit around. Most produced quite loud hum at zero volume but a 5m Van Damme cable didn't. I've just received a new 'turntable phono' cable [Van Damme XKE Pro-Patch cable (268-018-080) with attached grounding cable] and that works as well. .
