I use some of his stuff too. Great chap to deal with and pretty fair prices if you avoid fancy-foo connectors.

I did find his interconnect bettered my Chord Anthem's (£300+) but then these lost out to Mogami.

Macca should perhaps look away now  My old tale of MG HD1500 compared to Klotz MC5000 - RCA to 1/4" jack. When newly purchased/freshly made and compared, the sound was slighgtly different, the Klotz hav9ng a slightly fruitier presentation. used together for a few months and compared again, I was damned if I could tell any meaningful difference. I'll stick my neck out a bit and suggest that appearance plays a certain part here. I wonder if I could fool any of you with two lightly twisted lengths of the 0.6mm solid core I work with, but sheathed in a nice woven jacket and terminated with posh plugs... |

I’m interested in trying Mogami. Which one would you recommend? I purchased these on PinkFish and the cable says Neglex 2549 and it does have those plastic bullet plugs. |

Cheers, I have heard that number before. I’ve made a metal note. Marks build quality is excellent. I had a pair of his cables (can't recall the name) and I couldve towed the car with them. Unfortunately they didn't workout sonically in my system at the time but the quality of build really impressed. Mogami is decent to be fair, I made a couple of sets and a couple of tone arm Cables and it's surprisingly good. Easily better by the Yannis tonearm cable I had at the time. None of those are still here now mind you. |
