I fancy trying a decent Power Amp to run my Davone Ray S Speakers.
They’re a 4ohm / 89db sensitivity load so perhaps not the easiest, hence my thoughts about going Class D.
For a pre I’ll probably use my Cayin iDAC6 which has either a transistor or valve output which I feel would be a great match with a Class D amp.
More interested in a ‘branded’ item such as Lindemann, Peachtree, Bel Canto etc. but wouldn’t rule out ‘DIY’ items if they’re nice looking...
Also due to where I’d like to situate the amp, it really needs to be small form factor which is another reason for looking down the Class D route - so, what have you got?

I would keep my eyes peeled for a Purifi. They are made into fully respectable devices by the likes of Apollon, nord, NAD and others. Take a close look at the specs of class D amps before you buy. They are not all equal.

Fosi V3 with the 48V psu. Lots of enthusiasm can be found for the wee beastie, eg on the rapidly expiring Wigwam forum. Although it might not be expensive enough for you.

Not particularly small but those Apollon ones are not large at all. apollonaudio.com/product/apollon-audio-purifi-1et7040sa-st-stereo-amplifier/

I have looked at those Fosi before and would consider the new ZA3, or even maybe two as Monoblocks as and when they’re available again in the UK.

Yup, monoblocking the Fosi ZA3 does look intriguing. I dare say I'll be giving that a go once they become generally available.
