Whats your favourite streaming platform , loads of stuff i listen to not on these platforms but what is soundspretty good via either . Been comparing the 2 today and i think qubuz had the edge sonically for realism and wow factor

Qobuz for me too. I had Tidal previously, but changed to Qobuz when I had technical problems with Tidal and they wouldn't reply to my e-mails. I couldn't discern any difference in sound quality between the two on their "CD quality" music, but I am pleased that I changed to Qobuz, after the demise of MQA.

PrestoMusic and Spotify Premium both subscribed to.
PrestoMusic is only classical and jazz plus a seemingly random scattering of film soundtracks.
PrestoMusic has the best search and exploration tools for classical imo.

Yeah, settled on Qobuz eventually. It’s all evolved, but I like finding new music. The joy of streaming is that ability to easily do it. Trouble with Tidal was it focussed on genres that I don’t listen to, particularly American rap. Plus Qobuz had a much better classical and eclectic selection. It’s probably a more level playing field now, but the integration of the Qobuz mobile app keeping ‘recently played’ and playlists is superb. Even has its own Apple CarPlay app. Brilliant

Used Tidal and Spotify, but I have the family Spotify account so that gets used the most Cancelled Tidal (did like it) when my company were locking down the company phones so got a personal phone and a £10 per month SIM and all good. Never used any of the others but generally only stream when in the car or walking. When in the house I use it to check out an artist etc to see if I like them, if I do then I will buy the CD or LP. Simples

Continuing to explore qobuz .family member came over yesterday and could hardly drag him out listening to the eagles hell freezes over on tannoys .man it was pretty good ,take an expensive cd player to beat it
There is quite a bit of German stuff like klaus schulze and klangwelt .if you have never heard klangwelt then do so ,especially an album called xaio

I was expecting something much weirder than that! Reminds me quite a lot of a more melodic and mainstream Future Sounds of London. But that probably just shows my extremely limited experience of this kind of thing. The overlay of vintage sounding spoken word is a big put off for me, though. Playing it on some nice Hifiman Edition XS planar headphones (it's 630am). Will try it on the MBLs later. 👍

One extremely irritating thing is i never ever had drop outs on my spotify sonos set up . Now playing a track on mconnect with qobuz sometimes track stops abruptly and sometimes with a long 22 min track it will stop after 5 or 10 mins .
Cant figure it out ! Is it a glitchy mconnect app or internet cutting out .i dont think its the latter

I changed my streaming subscriptions yesterday.
Cancelled PrestoMusic and Spotify. Subbed to Qobuz. Saving about £5 a month, yay.
PrestoMusic had got a bit glitchy, sometimes pausing and skipping. And its UI isn't as user friendly as the more usual streaming services.
Some minor irritations with the Qobuz UI on my phone, but none of the streaming services are totally ideal.

Used to have both, but when Tidal decided to force you to have a profile I cancelled. Way I see it, I’m paying for the service, so why should I be forced to do that?
It’s supposed to be a streaming service, not a bloody social media platform!
Had an email exchange with their customer service pointing this out, but no joy, so I cancelled.
Still use Qobuz, can’t say I noticed much if any difference SQ wise between them.

think Amber Audio on pfm has got this right
I’d ping Bel Canto. I think your amp has a CMD4140 streaming board, it might be possible to increase the buffer size - that might help things, email tech and ask if there’s a buffer size setting.
If you’re playing a track and the buffer empties the streamer has to poll back out to the service and depending on the software logic either start the track again or move onto the next queued track, usually move on is the choice.

Playing qobuz via sonos is absolutely fine , no jumps at all. Very enjoyable but not as good as via high res streamer obviously

Qobuz on my Linn DSM.
Mainly listen to Jazz and Qobuz apparently has the largest number of Hi-Res Jazz recordings.

I had a 3 months for the cost of 1 offer from Spotify. So I came to the end of the current month Qobuz subscription, cancelled, and went on to Spotify.
It's fine. Yes, it sounds a bit different (all the services sound different to each other imo).
I had an overlap period and did some obsessive AB comparisons between the two. Some I slightly (and I mean slightly!) preferred Qobuz, a smaller proportion I actually preferred Spotify. Mostly they were indistinguishable.
A couple of months back I had a free trial of Deezer, but I absolutely hated the UI, so that was a non starter.
