Well, you remember when you were kid and you had the 'Wow' moment; while not being that old in the early 70's lots of things seemed wonderous, Mr Whippy ice cream/toffee apple vans on a Sunday lunchtime/Monty Python and seeing the elevator cars emerging from pod 3 on Thunderbird 2 to save Fireflash on the first every episode of Trapped in the sky. I saw this on the second showings in the early 1970's lol.
So, what's all this got to do with audio replay in the 21st century I hear you snigger?
Some of you may be aware I do occasionally repair amplifiers from time to time (someone has to do it lol) While being large framed fellow who's not un ad versed to moving large items about some of the amplifiers we receive to rectify can be a touch on the hefty side and more than one of two are well north of 50Kg's.
Working on them can prove challenging so in the past I've constructed one fo two moveable tables with varying degrees of success, but none really totally satisfactory.
Enter Mr Gerry Anderson, what if I could find a small, but very mobile trolley capable of handling up to 200Kg (less really) that can easily be maneuverer around, BUT also have the ability to increase the hight of the table etc to at least waist height or slightly above to say 1m?
Well here we go folks the lab door will have to suffice for the pod 3's outlet however what do think about this?
I am welding up a small platform with a rotating platform that will handle the 200Kg which you can place on the top as well. This one has turned out so well I've ordered a few more as we have a glut of porky US iron to make good in the coming weeks, so simple yet just so good.
Thank you, Brains!
