Going to watch this review/comparison from Elite Audio with interest. They are looking to get the reviews out in the next few weeks, but here is a taster of what’s involved
I bought my SOtM streamer from them after lengthy discussions, and was very impressed with their objectivity and sensible advice.
With recent changes in my own digital front end, it’s a fascinating and rapidly changing area.

Not bad for the ourtlay, just be careful it's a bit thin in certain systems imho

misterc I thought that at first, comparing against my Soekris dac, but now I've put some extra hours on, I'm finding it great. This has to be very near the top of my hifi bargains, and to think I paid the brand new price I think that is incredible. I shall be taking it with me to Cambodia when I go next week.

You're using the internal DAC rather than piping it through the Soekris and prefering that? |

I'm not saying it is better than the Soekris, I've really wanted to put some extra hours on it before I go away, and I can't say I've missed the Soekris. I will try again with the Soekris before I pack it away and report back. I can say it adds a certain amount of 'get up and go', or at least appears to, although I have been streaming some fairly unfamiliar artists/music. I can certainly vouch for the streamer section, I've read on other forums comments of not needing another dac, look at this as a streamer only, but can be used as an all in one player. |

I've finally managed to get the internal storage working. Went to a computer shop, they formatted my SSD, don't know why 3 different people had problems but now sorted with my musical files safely onboard.
I've just done a couple of short comparison between the Eversolo dac and my Soekris.
The Soekris wins out having a more analogue feel, fuller, particularly voices and guitars, smoother at the top end. A very easy and relaxed listen.
Where the Eversolo wins out, bass which is punchier and maybe slightly deeper, I'm happy either way. At first I thought the Soekris was way ahead, but has time has gone by, I've become more accustomed to the Eversolo and maybe you to allow for 'running in' time, not 200hrs though Oli.

Nice one Steve, will be interested in their next video, silver vs gold. From what I've read, the difference lies in the dac rather than the streamer. Mine is the basic silver version and I'm highly delighted with it.
