I absolutely loathe E-bay with a passion, in fact like Slough it should be carpet bombed with the latest generation Napalm at least six times over, levelled and then nuked (local Neutron variety).
Sorry I digress, getting back to the bay of fleas, my term for the majority that inhabit this cess pool of festering on line doug hole is E=Bay wankerism

I sold a load of vinyl on there so I have no complaints. The only time I didn't do so well was with a Technics DD, purchased for £200, sold it a few weeks later on bids, only one bid for £99. I've had a few bargains in the past, so it's win some lose some. I always try and sell when I get one of ebay's special offers.

I have steered well clear of selling on ebay since that unfortunate episode with the Sh#t-for-brains who bought my Opera Consonace CD player and reckoned it was "faulty" when in fact he used a power cord of his own that expired instead of the correct power lead included in the box. He says he tried 4 other power cables but that was pure lies.

I have been buying and selling on eBay for years, and never had anyone pull any shady manoeuvre or behave in anything less than I'd expect.
Yeah, you get the odd sausage who buys something they don't understand, and yeah I have had to send the odd item back, but it's rarely been any aggregation.
I see eBay get slammed on a lot of forums, shame really, as it does open up the used market to the masses. Without it, where would we buy anything!

I love ebay.
I've come across many totally genuine folks whose only interest is to make it a successful transaction for both buyer and seller. Genuinely concerned and helpful if things aren't as they should be.
That sort is by FAR the majority.
Yes, a few tossers along the way, usually in foreign lands, strangely.
A Korean, a Canadian and a French guy come immediately to mind.
But I reckon the transaction success rate easily exceeds 98%. That's pretty darn good.

Genuinely concerned and helpful if things aren't as they should be. That sort is by FAR the majority. Yes, a few tossers along the way, usually in foreign lands, strangely. My issues is the minority that ihabit the place, I have seen the emails that are sent to dealers & the whitness the phone calls and they are wankerism in it's purerist form that goes with this, like anything to do with life in general the minority FooK it up for her majority of the population
