Dunno really. Buster Bloodvessel (Dougie) of 'Bad Manners' is an old drinking buddie of mine. So were a few boxers, the Finnegan brothers and Alan Minter amongst them.
The old man knew many from the thirties onwards until he died. T E Lawrence (of Arabia), Donald Campbell, Alec Issigonis (Mini designer), loads of actors and TV personalities. He met the King once in the late forties, but that was to be awarded an honour.

Only politicians for me. Did meet Gary Mason and Glenn McCrory back in the day, that’s about it.

He got loads of Sh#t from the press. I watched a Louis Theroux documentary about him and Debbie and I came away with loads of respect fir the guy. He loved his wife dearly and would do anything for her, Funny and didn’t take himself seriously either,

He met the King once in the late forties, but that was to be awarded an honour. You knew Alan Minter? That's a good one. I don't think I have met many. I used to work in event security but of course the stars don't consort with the security staff. So I've been in the same room with a few rock.pop types like Geldof and Holland (both tossers). Actually met the only one I can think of was Clement Freud at Keele services on the M6. Had a bit of a chat with him, he was launching the new British Rail sandwiches at the time. If you remember Brookside and 'Debbie and Damon' the girl who played Debbie was in my brother's class at primary school and her older sister was in my class. Can't think of her name off the top of my head. Oh and one of Atomic Kitten used to live next door to my uncle until she made it big - Liz McClarnon. Although the last time I saw her she was only about ten years old so probably doesn't count.

Just goes to show how long it is since I saw Eastenders. I haven’t seen her before.

Just remembered I used to know Geoff Davies who owns Probe Records and manages Half Man Half Biscuit. He was a teacher at my school when I was in six form. He's a top bloke.

Used to know Sting’s brother and Gazza’s brother. The former was a regular customer at the shop I worked in and the latter was a regular “customer” at somewhere else i worked.

Met a few at Glastonbury. Watched the Rolling Stones with Zoe Ball and her sister, who just happened to roll up next to us. She was quite happy to take a can of beer off me lol. Lovely people both of them, her sister put my step son on her shoulders so he could see the stage, he sat there happy as Larry feeding her mini doughnuts from a big bag he had.
Got to know a few people over the years and get passes to some of the backstage bars, had a beer or two with Glen Tillbrook on a few occasions. Alabama Three also, right bunch of pissheads they are.
A very drunk bloke once introduced himself to me as Harvey Bainbridge, found out later that he used to play with Hawkwind.

I used to go to every Hawkwind concert I could reach at one time and chatted with the Hawklords now and then. All so long ago, it was like another lifetime. They did a wicked show at what was then Ealing Tech college (now Brunel University). Blew me off my upturned wastepaper bin that I was sat on. Mind you I was tripping off my bonce at the time. I remember the music being purple and green (well that's what I thought then). I and my mates nearly got chucked out for lobbing giant paper darts made from cardboard boxes (can't recall why we were doing that or where the boxes came from) .

Weren’t they meant to be famous for playing louder than anyone else?

I once saw Jesus, but he didn't see me.
Otherwise, lots of politicians and a few Nobel prizewinners.
