My local hospice charity shop has recently opened an audio visual room selling donated equipment. They have a Sansui AU-999 for sale. I don’t work there but pop in every now and then.
I understand that this is pretty much the best Sansui amp, built 1970-72.
I am assured that it has been tested and works as it should, it has not been serviced and looks like it has not been used for many years. If anyone is interested I have some photos.
The shop is basing its price in recent eBay sales. Most recent spares or repairs one went for around £400, so they want £500. I’m sure there is a deal to be done between these two prices.
If you are interested drop me a message. I’ll happily facilitate a purchase for anyone interested and get shipping organised if needed.

Good man Pete, Sansui made some great amps and will always have a following. From what I know the 999 is a good one, someone into Sansui/the vintage will snap that up and I wholeheartedly suggest they then get it over to the man Phonomac, that would be the best move they could make as it'll certainly sing and be serviced up properly, once he's had his eye and hands over it.
