Hi and welcome. I use a CCA & FiiO Taishan both with an LPS in my 2nd system, the CCA is stonking for its price especially when partnered with an external DAC.

Welcome to the forum.
You could generate some competition there with nastiest cartridge you have ever owned!

Jason's Arkes were humbling when he brought them here, so I know all too well what sort of enjoyment you must be getting from them. I love the Audiolab. Such an underated bit of kit. If I used CD, I'd be all over one of those, and the 286 is excellent too. Great choice. Quality little system you have there. Welcome to the forum Oliver

Hi and welcome.
Your kit list definitely represents a very high quality/performance value ratio. You've really done your homework there.
I'm sure it sounds superb.
Enjoy!

I went the way of several others, visited jase and heard the ektas and had to work out a (wife compatible) way to get that in my life. It's Tony by the way, sorry for missing the name

Still finishing the cosmetics on the 286, got a nice bit of timber to go full 70s on the front panel. I will try and get round to writing something about the duos on the arke thread. Tony

Chris Very happy with it at the moment, worried I may end up falling in the vinyl hole. Got plenty of records but doing justice to them would cost a lot! Thanks Tony

Thanks Tony Not necessarily, the 505 came fitted with an Ortofon OM5 originally and sounded quite decent, the deck also has a fairly decent arm so can support a pretty reasonable mm. Grabbing an Origin Live Cartridge Enabler and a Goldring E3 or AT VM95ML should see you good for quite a while. I have a RigB bodied 95ML as one of my cart options for my 401/R200 in my 2nd system and its shocked me as to how good it is.

Hi Tony, another 286 user here however I have modified mine to dual mono with a 2nd power supply.
A very worthwhile upgrade. Have you made yours with switch mode or linear PSU?

Oh excellent, the 686 gets so much love, good to see the 286 users are out there. Mine is dual mono with smps. Not enough space in the case I have for dual linear supplies. Curious if linear supplies would make much difference.

Welcome Tony!
It'll be interesting to see and hear your system evolve. Be careful of that vinyl rabbit hole.

Hello Tony
Welcome enjoy the fun here and the very different takes many on here have for systems which i find quite startling . Having said that none of my systems are what most would call normal either so it shows that we are all striving for something just suspect it is not the same thing .
