I wanted a place to post any images from our younger days, be it hifi or just personal/family pics. I’ve put it in off topic and will follow up with whatever I can find on my iPad. My old hifi pics are in storage and I don’t have access to them. Not many folks them anyway.

All my old early days photos were got rid of by an ex-wife Miserable cow.
I don't much care for the loss of most of them, but me on my trusty Triumph motorbike is the ones I sadly miss.

My only iPad pic of my hifi fromthe last century. I hardly took any pics until I got a digital camera around 2003

My wife loves having pics. I wish we had the digital, camera a coupe of decades earlier.

Spiderman - good choice, although it's really just between Spiderman and Batman, who'd even consider another option? We got 2 lottery syndicates going at work, if one comes in they are knackered because most of us are over 50 and will just quit on the spot if we hit the big one. More chance of hell freezing over but it's fun to think about. I'd piss off to the Caribbean quick time and then pretty much do what you are planning

Christ knows. USA is first choice, but try getting in there for more than 6 months a year. There’s a place I wanted to buy but couldn’t find a workable way of ensuring I got to stay there all year.
I’d happily end up staying here in a bigger place but my wife is worried about how she would cope if anythjng happened to me. Inheritance here isn’t straightforward even when a husband and wife jointly own a place and one dies. A friend has been at it over 3 years trying to get his deceased wife’s share of the house transferred to him,
I’m a spontaneous soul, so it could be anywhere.

what about wrexham sun seems to shine there 364 days a year I doubt I’d go back to the U.K. unless it was in the middle of nowhere, The weather is rubbish and the pace of life is alien to me now. I need my space and Britain is just too hectic and crowded. If I had to go back, it would be the Scottish Hignlands or a Western Isles. Big step though.

Everyone in resorts and towns speaks English fluently. In the sort of place I crave (mountain villages), it’s more difficult, but I’m able to understand Greek and make myself understood. Written language is tougher for me, but I could easily learn to a decent standard if need be.

do you own the place you're in now or rent.. We own it. We could easily rent here and get something perfect and cheap too...it just feels wrong though.
